For the house manager and staff

Between the two conversations, this work runs through you.

The principal sets the priorities at the start and approves or declines at the end. Everything in between is done with the household, starting with whoever manages the house. So this page is written for you, and for the staff, before anyone starts.

The house manager and the staff

The House Manager

The person this work runs through.

You know how the house actually runs, so the work starts with you. Improvised decisions get replaced with approved tools, clear limits, staff guidance, and an escalation path that works across complex properties.

It does not arrive as more work. Phoenix writes the documents.

Nobody already running eleven jobs is handed a policy to draft.

Household Staff & Contractors

Preparation, not inspection.

Phoenix comes in to give the people who run this house approved tools, clear limits, and somebody to ask, so that whoever is handed something new has cover instead of exposure.

What anyone has already tried is not the subject of this work.

I have held your job. That is why this work assumes eleven jobs and not one.

To say it plainly

Not a candidate for your position.

A house manager's office with a key cabinet

Katherine is not a candidate for your position, now or at the end of the engagement.

Every engagement has a defined scope and a defined end, both agreed in writing before it begins.

Already using AI?

Nobody is judged for it.

A kitchen table with a phone, a folio and a mug

This is said to staff at the start of every engagement.

Most households already have tools in use that nobody formally approved, usually because someone was solving a real problem.

The inventory exists to fix the house, not to establish who did what. Tools already in use are treated as facts to work with, never as mistakes to attribute to the person who introduced them.

Phoenix will decline any engagement that turns governance into a pretext for monitoring, harassing, or building a case against household employees.

The point is to fix the house, not to find out who did it.

Preparation, not inspection

If the plan is put in place

You will know who is coming, before they come.

Where the household wants the plan put in place, Phoenix brings in trusted partner firms and coordinates their work. Phoenix takes no fee or commission from any of them.

Partners who work offsite are bound by an agreement with Phoenix. Partners who work in the house also sign the family's own confidentiality documents.

The scope, the cost, and who will be in the house are agreed in writing before anyone arrives. The house manager sees the names and the schedule first.

A private conversation

Questions from the house are welcome.
